At 03:48 Beijing Time on September 9, 2025, China's Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center successfully launched the Geely Constellation 05 satellite group into space using the Jielong-3 carrier rocket from waters near Rizhao, Shandong Province. The satellites smoothly entered their planned orbits, marking a complete success for the launch mission. Developed by the First Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the Jielong-3 carrier rocket features a four-stage solid-fuel engine configuration in series. Primarily designed for launching spacecraft into sun-synchronous and low-Earth orbits, it possesses a payload capacity of approximately 1.5 tons to a 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit. This marks the rocket's seventh launch and the second mission specifically executed to meet the rapid constellation deployment requirements of the Geely Constellation.
